This little guy, Shotgun, was brought to our friends at Roanoke Valley Horse Rescue. This young colt is very emaciated and only weighed 246 pounds when he came to them. He is receiving around the clock care from extremely dedicated people. He is doing very well so far and is making progress everyday. SVERN would like to help with Shotgun’s care and are asking our friends and supporters to help too. First and foremost they need monetary donations to pay for the increasing costs to provide the lifesaving care that this horse needs. You can make a secure online
donation with any major credit card via Paypal.
You can mail or drop off a check to:
204 Indian Hollow Rd
Winchester, VA 22603
They also need the following items to help with his rehabilitation:
- Sentinel LS feed
- bagged bedding
- alfalfa cubes and rice bran
- Protein bars and Protein powder for shakes
- Gatorade drinks
These can be dropped off at the above address (Albin Ridge Storage on 522N)
We will be visiting RVHR to present a donation from SVERN as well as the donations collected for Shotgun and tour their facility that they have worked so hard on. We can’t wait to see how much progress he will make by then and will keep you posted. We are looking forward to meeting the hard working volunteers that give their time to help save neglected animals and give them a second chance at life.
This fundraising campaign will run until May 22. Let’s come together and see what our community can do to change the life of one horse! Please share this with the community and local businesses that you think would like to help. The link below is a printable flyer that can be posted at locations. Thank you all once again for your support and caring about these animals that need us!
