New Barn Clean Up

Clean up day is set for April 5th
Volunteers can begin to arrive at 10am. SVERN will provide lunch and beverages. Please RSVP so we will be sure to have enough.
Here is a list of needed supplies/tools if there is anything you can bring:
-Sprayers for weed killer
-Digging irons
-Sledge hammers
-Splitting mal
-Circular saws
-Drills, battery and corded
-Pick up trucks to haul away trash/debris

Heavy Equipment:
-Tractors with and without buckets
-Bush hog
-Fence post drills
-Fence post drivers

Gloves and long pants would be recommended.

The address is 1390 Welltown Rd, WInchester, VA. It is next to Welltown United Methodist Church. There will be balloons and sign at the driveway to turn into.

Cash Party

We are excited to announce our next cash party fundraiser!

We are having a Cash Party February 15, 2014 at 6:00pm at the Lee Jackson Best Western in Winchester. 711 Millwood Ave. Winchester, VA 22601

Tickets are $35 and include dinner, drinks and a chance at multiple cash prizes (top prize $1500!) Be sure to purchase your tickets ASAP, there are only 350 available.

50/50 raffle, tip jars and auction will also be available at the event.

Please come help support our organization. All proceeds will benefit SVERN and will help us rescue and rehabilitate many horses in the months to come and continue the important work that needs to be done.

Volunteer! We need volunteers to help at the event setting up, helping with food and clean-up  and helping sell raffle tickets and tip jars. Please contact us if you are able to help in any way.

Donate! If you are unable to attend but would like to give financial support please visit our donate page. If you have any items to donate for the auction please contact us.

Sell Tickets! Please tell your friends and family and bring them with you!

We know this night will be lots of fun and a huge success!

4-H Fun Show

The Golden Horseshoe 4-H will be hosting a Fun Show to benefit Shenandoah Valley Equine Rescue Network this Saturday, October 26 at 10am.

It is open to everyone and there are classes for horse and rider and non horse as well.

There will be concessions, bake sale and cake walk.
Entry is $4 per class or $20 for all day.

Since everyone has been asking here is an explanation of Redneck Showmanship:
Redneck Showmanship Is the best redneck attire on handler and even the horse. You will do a pattern in you best redneck way while still doing the pattern properly.
There are also costume contests -horse and rider or human only.
