32 Abandoned Horses In Clarke County

32 horses have been running feral in a Clarke County field for a decade with no attention, vet or farrier care. All rescued from a life on the racing track. Their owner now in her 80s has been placed into a retirement home. Really the only thing she did was pay the boarding fees. SVERN was approached for a solution. First thing first, is each horse has to be seen by a veterinarian and a farrier. That is a long and costly process. Then each horse has to be handled and accessed by the SVERN staff to see which ones would be ready for fostering or adoption.

SVERN has taken on the boarding fees and is planning to move to the next level,

but we need funding and donations to cover these costs.

If you would be interested in fostering or adopting we have an application to fill out and email.

If you would like to donate we have 2 programs available. A one time donation or a monthly donation.
